If a pilot observes or is told about a possible conflict, preserve evidence without editing the story to fit an assumption.

Retain the flight log, controller or app records, aircraft and Remote ID identifiers, timestamps, coordinates, altitude data, photos or video, authorization, weather record, crew notes, and any communications. Write observations in plain language and distinguish firsthand information from statements made by others.
